Announcement of the Termination of Activities

This notification is to inform you that after six years the activities of Interactive Speech Technology Consortium (ISTC) have ended on March 31, 2009. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to everyone, including members of the consortium and other related parties, who have been a great support.
While the consortium has ceased its activities, we would like to continue the development of the interactive speech software through the Open Source Software Development site. We hope to continue receiving your support in the future.

Inheriting the results of the Continuous Speech Recognition Consortium (CSRC), which ceased its activities in 2003, as well as those of the research project Development of Basic Software for Anthropomorphic Spoken Dialogue Agents (Galatea Project), which ended in 2002, the Interactive Speech Technology Consortium aims at the consolidation and diffusion of a basic software toolkit indispensable to interactive speech technologies.
